We believe that by restoring what’s been overlooked, we can create spaces that inspire connection, strengthen the local economy, and preserve the character that makes Burns unique
Our Organization
Ignite Burns Foundation was created out of a simple but powerful idea: sometimes the little things make the biggest difference. We saw that our city had important needs that couldn’t always be met due to limited budgets, so we stepped in to help fill the gap.
Our early focus was on the “low-hanging fruit” … small, visible improvements that immediately benefit the community. Things like installing new trash cans, adding pet waste stations, or helping clear snow from Main Street sidewalks in winter. These everyday upgrades may seem small, but together they make Burns a cleaner, safer, & more welcoming place to live, work, and visit.
By partnering with the City and offering to take on these projects with their support, we’ve created a win-win approach. The city benefits from improved services without stretching its resources, and the community sees faster, lasting improvements to our shared spaces.
At Ignite Burns, we also believe that art and music can connect us. We are working to bring more murals to our downtown and have even supported the revitalization of worn out murals that needed a new lease on life! Ignite Burns also helps promote & support downtown music events!
